Our Community Service Mission Statement

To develop a sense of “Responsibility & Caring” within our football student athletes.  To have our student athletes leave the football program and Sunnyslope High School as young men of character and integrity, prepared to take on life’s next challenges within the greater community.

Our Community Service Philosophy

Community Service teaches our players to grow in empathy as well as responsibility towards others, especially those people who are struggling with life’s challenges.  Inherent in the notion of community service are the ideals of optimism and empowerment: we are optimistic the world can change for the better, and when empowered to effect that change, we as individuals can and will make a difference.  Having our football players perform community service probably won’t make their lives longer, but it will make their lives fuller, deeper, broader and better.

Previous Community Service Projects:

·                                 First Christian Church:  Football players from all levels Varsity, JV and Freshman performed community service with the City of Phoenix “First Responder” program, where we help homeowners clean up their homes by removing debris, trim and clean up landscape.
